Isaiah Prince is a spoken word poet based from Newark, NJ, whose work weaves Black History, Personal Legacy, and Culture Resilience into lyrical fire. His storytelling blends rhythm, truth, and emotional clarity, creating moments that feel both ancestral and urgent. He has performed on stages such as Haus of Poetry, Spittin' Truth, and Poetry Me Please. Earning recognition for his commanding presence and intentional word craft. As founder of Black Canvas Poetry, he is actively shaping a new space for creatives, culture, and community. With each performance, Isaiah continues to cement his place as a rising necessary voice in the national slam community.
Natalia Henshaw is a creative designer and visual storyteller from Allentown, PA. She is our Creative Director. With a background rooted in branding, and digital design, she brings a sharp eye for detail and a passion for crafting meaningful visual experiences. Whether she's developing event graphics, shaping brand identities, or supporting local artist with creative direction, Natalia approaches every project with intention, clarity and heart. Driven by belief that art should feel as good as it looks, she blends modern aesthetics with thoughtful storytelling to create work that resonates. Her dedication to community and creativity has made her a rising creative voice in the Lehigh valley arts scene.
Shy Patton is the Marketing Lead and our guy in the chair. They are the engine that keeps the site running. They have been known to perform at various theatres around the Lehigh Valley. From stage to page they are currently pursuing their bachelors in Creative Writing and Theatre.
Jackie "JQueen" Morales is a poet, actress, singer, and songwriter from Allentown, PA. She holds the title as our Decor Execution and Stage flow coordinator. Her journey began in 2017 at a poetry workshop with well known Philly based poet Jaylene Clark Owens, who taught her that words are power, and since then she has been gracing the Lehigh Valley poetry scene as Jqueen. She has featured with Dieruff's Spittin' Truth, Haus of Poetry and more! JQueen's poetry focuses on raw emotions, human rights, and social justice. Her reason for creating the art she does is to touch the hearts of those who listen, and she hopes her audience leaves feeling empowered and understood.
Jaime Torres is a Soldier, a Father, and a songwriter whose poetry comes straight from the life he has lived. His work is direct, honest, and shaped by the moments that have defined him. He writes with a focus on clarity and truth, letting his experience speak without exaggeration. He is our Operations and Technical manager. Through his words, he gives the audience a clear look at where he's been and the mindset that keeps him moving forward.
Zavier Rafael is a Afro-Latino American writer based in the Lehigh Valley. As our Community Engagement and Writing lead he is the man with plan. or script if you will. Empowering and educating the BIPOC proletariat through poetry, essays, and other media discussing topics such as Black liberation, class consciousness, spiritual growth and Love.
